![]() In our Self Defense basics we embrace the postures of our roots and do not cut corners. Remember, this is not a sport, and is distinctive in essence. We work the 5 original postures of • Standing • Seated • Kneeling • Squatting • on the Back: on the Stomach Okinawan Martial Arts are practical and effective. Kicks are below the waist. The other side of Martial Arts training is health, stress relief, renewed energy and pressure points education. This is included as a part of training from the start. Locks, controlling, seizing, etc. are inclusive of our students’ knowledge. We believe everyone walks through our door for a reason. We also recognize every person is different, and have their personal fitness needs, as well as goals. Some start their training already fit, where others need to build themselves up. Our class curriculum is innovative and designed to fit our student's needs. This is an “art with heart”.
